Bought this just for overseas trips. Have used it only a couple times but it did work well. Of course, you have to make sure you have the correct adapter for the country you are in. Can't comment on how long it will last but so far so good. I did notice that I had to turn up the heat a bit compared to using it at home. I imagine that varies from country to country.
